Budget Travel Tips to Krabi

As much as we all love to travel, we also love to conserve as much cash as we could while on the go. Be it online shopping, dining or even excursions, saving cash in a vacation is much a hard thing to do. Especially if Krabi tours come in a more affluent country like the West, because you tend to think everything is cheap even if it is not considered so in a local context.

Krabi
Krabi, Thailand, is a hot tourist destination due to its cheap meals, lodging and accessible tours. These few places are continuously packed with travelers from throughout the world. So how do you save your cash and still get the most out of your holiday in Thailand?

Eat the Local Way
A fancy restaurant does not absolutely guarantee the standard of food. Head to where the locals eat. Adhering to the rule of thumb, if there's a audience in a particular food house, then the meals there should be good. After all, the locals know best.

Bargain, Bargain Bargain!
The locals can spot a foreigner easily particularly if you are not of Asian descent. Additionally, it is common for them to try their luck and jack their sales cost when they see a potential tourist-customer. So don't be deceived and set your mediation skills to check. Never settle for the first price they offer you - always try to lose or pretend to walk away if they refuse because it's quite likely that they will call for you with a price that's way lower than the initial one. But obviously, you also have to be reasonable at the price that you quote.

Go During Off-Season
If you visit Thailand between Jan and May or July to Nov, chances are you will find a free upgrade to bigger rooms without having to top up. Sometimes, hotel rooms will also be less costly than stated.

Walk or Rent a Bike
Forget taxis! If the place is close, then just walk there rather than flagging a taxi. The streets of Krabi and Phuket are always full of shops so that it is not really a lonely and dull walk. Otherwise, rent a bike. Renting a bike is quite common in Thailand and cheap also. It is possible to check with your hotel's front desk if they have any motorbike rental providers. When they do not, then simply walk out and you will definitely see a minumum of one motorbike rental store on the market.
